Congrats I guess are in order, based on the other comments, as I not familiar with your experience working for the Man.
But if it is difficult work conditions my husband could write the book. Such as on your scheduled day off, make you work, so that someone else can go to a football game rather than him. Change was made one day before the game. Had to sell our tickets.
Send you to PA to be trained on a new robotic system, because you are the only one that will be able to understand what the heck is going on and come back to the plant and teach others, but no I don't think we can promote you, as we don't have a position that fits your abilities. And send you on the cheapest flight with layovers in Atlanta and Detroit, to save a penny but waste it daily on nonsense at the plant.
Or transfer you within the plant to another area, to clean up a major mess and in the process increase production from 65% to 98% in two weeks and then give a promotion to the person who made the mess.
But the best was change the work schedule to 12 hour shifts and reduce your pay by 30% all in the name of improving the quality of life.
So River Otter if you are truly free at last from such BS, then

for you.
