Chair rentals left on beach

Does anyone know why chair rentals companies are exempt from pulling their stuff off the beach at night? Allowing that crap at the base of the Dunes isn't pretty and doesn't allow the dunes to rebuild. I'm guessing the owners are related to someone in the County.

Maybe the Sheriff or Code Enforcement could answer that for you as they would be the two possible responsible parties for getting them removed.

They told me it is because the vendor got a sticker, which anyone can get, and placed it on their stuff.

Well, where can I get a sticker? If they can leave their stuff on the beach then I can too!
This sums up the reaction of every person told they can't leave their stuff on the beach overnight or for the week.

The sticker thing is a TOTAL crock!

Either we ALL shouldn't leave stuff on the beach because it is a human/wildlife hazard or we should just give up and declare a pucking free-for-all!

Walking down the beach after a hurricane when the walkovers have been dislodged is a travestry with the rusty nails, etc. That coupled with beach chairs, junk, etc......not cool.

IMHO...This has been the achilles heel of the double standard that exhists between the tourist and the "local"....as a tourist/visitor for 19+ years we totally get it when it comes to removing our stuff from the beach every day...we haul up our umbrellas, chairs, babies, toddlers, grandparents....any and everything that a wagon can haul away! Morning after morning on our beach walk we observe that the beach rental chairs/umbrella's seem to be the biggest offenders of leaving their property on the beach over night....sorry, this just makes a very confusing statement for us visitors who make the effort to do the right thing....:idontno:

Bingo! Very accurate statement! beachma...are the chairs and umbrellas left set up on the beach or placed by the dunes? (both are wrong, imo) My question is...how did some beach chair rental companies get a waiver/sticker that allows them to leave stuff on the beach?

Do they give classes to the turtles teaching them what beaches to avoid when they come on land to lay their eggs?
