It is what it is...

New posts
Using ummmmm when people talk bothers me and I do it and I know others do it when they are thinking but ummmmmm it gets on my nerve.

And speaking from a scientific viewpoint, everything is always changing. So it is what it is, is really, it is what it was a minute ago, but now, it's something else...ummmmmmm....right?

It is what it is, in real estate terms, simply means that if buyers are willing to pay no more $425,000 for a house, and a seller won't sell for less than $525,000, the house is only worth $425,000, and no more, regardless of what the "seller" (real name - "owner') wants to get for it -- in other words, "it is what it is," and as Rick says, "and it ain't what it ain't."

It probably stems from Buddism, where a rock is simply a rock.

Excellent post ... probably belongs on the home page.

To me the word whatever and the Do you know what I mean pharse always drops the
IQ level of whoever said them. I thing to myself "BOY, this person is really stupid!"

My current :bang:teeth-on-edge phrase:

It's All Good.

O REALLY???
When you've just shot someone's eye out and burnt their house down,
the quick "It's all good" sing-song, Like Toe-tully, makes everything excusable.
