It's been quiet and somewhat civil

OK - a couple I know (in counseling) over this very issue......not just this issue. He likes to 'go' outside and she thinks he is crazy. He says he is keeping strange critters off his property. She says she's had it. :idontno: Sounds like love to me.

:funn::floor::funn: So danged funny!

Men like to go outside and mark their territory. If that was the worst problem a relationship had (unless he did it in front of people) I'd say they don't have much to worry about.

okay. proper bathroom etiquette 101 requires the seat to be left in the down position for several reasons but lets examine the most obvious one. Men and women both use the down position; however, men are encouraged to lift said seat when standing and teetee-ing () in order to have said seat out of the way of the teetee thus keeping said seat clean from teetee. The seat is then returned to the down position for the next bathroom visitor. If the seat is left in the up position and grandma falls in and breaks her hip then your ass is going to be sued and then strung up and then sent back to bathroom school.

additionally, its just good manners.
the end.

got it?
;-)

Sorry if I keep "picking up" this fight. Let's just say that said seat is placed back down with its lid, and a sluggish, tired, half awake lady (a very beautiful lady by the way) in the middle of the night sits down with the said seat and its lid in position and then teetee's all over the place. Don't we have the same problem. The best solution, just look at where you sit. Place the said seat in its appropriate position as needed.

well you do have a point since half the men I know do not bother with bathroom etiquette so no matter what its always good to check the seat first.

I'm pretty sure the beautiful women would find that she is sitting on the lid right away. at least her hip is intact.

If I had better plumbing I would totally do it - especially when there are 43 women in front of me who take FOREVER in the bathroom!

Problem solved:

Community bear caught on tape at Seaside View attachment 15712
apparently dodging into a restroom after having words with a local eagle about the height of buildings blocking his view, an onlooker said. With what you would call, squatter's rights, there seemed to be a dispute as to who actually owned oceanfront property and the surrounding woodlands, humans or animals. The eagle was not available for comment at that time. Although, the bear in his own defence at further questioning said the eagle and himself had worked out a compromise on the land deal. When asked what it was, he responded repeatedly," I don't know". The eagle was last seen in a treetop near western lake trying to avoid the paparazzi.
The bear was last seen traveling down 30A on a bicycle after leaving Tupelo street with what appeared to be a small dog- the dog smiling as if rescued.
A confused motorist actually slowed down, instead of signaling with hand signs, to let the unusually dressed cyclist cross the road to Bud-n-Alleys. A well-known establishment for locals and tourists alike.
A customer standing outside the restaurant said the bear has been spotted at places like Hibiscus, Hurricane Oyster Bar, and the Red Bar where he heard there was a wet bar and poles dancing, which of course he equated with fishing.
They say he is always dressed in fine fur and seems to have found his niche in society despite the economy. He has heralded the name, "Bearer of good tidings", and has become a local leader in the community. The rooster, dogs, cats, etc. that "seem" to be lost, have all just returned from a town meeting to discuss employment and new ways to do things. A new perspective that is. The bear was last heard saying something about the honey business and it just so happens that Tupelo is his favorite. The eagle is head of security for the new airport to ban tails from flying.

And thats the news.

So back to you, Geo...

It's really simple. If the seat is up just put it down, you're a big girl now, no need to fly into a rage over a toilet seat. At least you know it's dry!
I personally like to return it to the down position because I have grandkids and I think it looks better.

It is the middle of the night groggy buttocks nearly hitting toilet water (possibly all the way in).........did you flush.....or, were you being polite to not wake the household? There enlies the rage~~~~~~~~

 And, the lesson to feel first while groggy, then sit.
