Celebrate today and the next few days!

Lots of things to celebrate (and have TV-watching parties for) today and over the next few days:

The Saints' Super Bowl win
The Winter Olympics
President's Day holiday weekend
Valentine's Day
Chinese New Year
The Oscars
The Westminster Dog Show
Mardi Gras

Have I forgotten anything, other than the obvious like life, our family, our blessings, etc.?

Have a great time!:D

Yes, funn weekend!!!! Live it up! Lent starts Wed. Although, I gave up Lent for Lent a few years ago.

OMC! I didn't mention that the best thing for us to celebrate this weekend is that today is Big D's last day on IV antibiotics! He's free and back to his old self after 8 months of extreme misery and pain! Praise God!

BTW his docs at Emory are so awesome -- the orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Rhee and the infectious disease physician/professor Dr. David Kuhar (two Kuhars at Emory).

And I'd also like to thank Google :clap:because Dr. Rhee told me that if I had not googled back pain and staph and had not diagnosed Big D's back pain (which the Columbus GA docs failed to do), Big D would be dead now. Can't imagine life without him after being together since I was a teenager.

BR - so glad you saved Big D!!! and sounds like he's on the road to recovery!

I would like to add one more thing to your wonderful list of things to celebrate:

Our Beaches - and the precious natural environment surrounding them. I'm grateful for people all over the State of Florida who took time to come out and be with each other on their beaches. Because of yesterday's participation in the Hands Across the Sand event, we have made a huge step in preserving our Florida. I'll drink to that.

BR, where are you? Soul Sistah needs a scotch!
In SoSoAtl. Had planned to be at the beach, but the roads in Alabama were too bad in Alabama.

I need a scotch because I'm giving up alcohol for Lent! :yikes:
