Strange Names~~~~~~~

New posts
Knew a lady whose name was Stormy. She had hippie type parents and it was evidently stormy.

(I actually like this name.)

Su Wong marries Lee Wong. The next year, the Wongs have new baby. The nurse brings out a lovely, healthy, bouncy,
but definitely a Caucasian, WHITE baby boy.

'Congratulations,' says the nurse to the new parents. 'Well Mr. Wong, what will you and Mrs. Wong name the baby?'

The puzzled father looks at his new baby boy and says, 'Well, two Wong's don't make a white, so I think we will name him...

Sum Ting Wong :funn:

My BFF is Kelly Kelly. Actually her name is Kelly Ann Kelly.
I had a student named Suerratt. I asked her how she pronounced it and she said "Silly Lot" I was sad to inform her that the R says rrrrr and her name is pronounced "Sewer Rat" ~ The next day her mom came in and asked me to call her by her middle name, Yolk.

When I worked at SallieMae there was a list that went around with funny names. There were the usual suspects, but the 3 that stood out the most were:

Hung Lo
Kathy Pretty On Top (her account had the name change paperwork when she did this, it was changed to exactly the way it is typed)
Velvetta Bacon

The best though was working as a proctor in a computer lab at FSU when a girl with the name Cliche came in. I couldn't help it after looking at her ID and asked her to pronounce it. She pronounced it exactly the way you would. Apparently in 20 years of living she had never bothered to look up the definition.

My old roommate used to teach school, here, in Atlanta in the Dekalb school system. I would have never believed it if he had only told me, but I actually held in my hand a test paper from one of his students whose name was...

Formica Counter

Probably where she was conceived.

One of the best two sport (volleyball, track and field) stars at the NCAA level in recent years is Destinee Hooker. Why would you name a child something that sounds like she's fated for the pole?
