I'd wager there are as many from the other side of the fence. I'll start with this one from Harry Reid...

SEN. HARRY REID (D-NV) on the automotive bail out saving Ford Motor Company: "Isn't it a good thing today in America that we have an automobile manufacturing sector? If it had been up to them [Republicans], General Motors would be gone. If it were up to them, Ford Motor Company would probably be gone. Chrysler definitely would be gone."

What a dumb sheet...
Ford? Sorry...didn't take any bail out money and proceded to kick GM's and Chrysler's collective arses...

Regarding your link...there are some real doozies in there.

3 of my faves:

Dem. congressman from Georgia - "My fear is that the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize."

Nancy Pelosi Dem. from California - "I give Republicans credit for this: They vote the way they believe...I think that they vote with more integrity than they get credit for...if you can't find common ground, that doesn't mean you're partisan. It just means you believe two different things".

Sheila Jackson Lee's comments are legend in Texas. Dem. Lee asked on a visit to NASA by asking if the Mars Pathfinder had taken an image of the flag planted there in 1969 by Neil Armstrong."

No debate that Harry Reid has some dumb quotes, but for every one he has, his opponent, Sharron Angle, has 100.

Local News | Clint Didier: 'Rugged individualism' and blunt, angry rhetoric | Seattle Times Newspaper

Introducing Republican Senate candidate Clint Didier:

"We've got to get rid of this 'protecting the weak.' If we keep the weak alive all the time it eats up the strong, and then our economy will never come back," he said after a tea-party forum earlier this month in Bellingham.

He also supports slashing every federal program on the books including Medicare.

Meanwhile he's a farmer who only pays 1.5% of the true cost of the irrigation water he uses because the government paid the rest to build the Columbia Basin Project.

Yes, when Jesus said "Blessed are the meek," what Jesus didn't understand is that it is the meek who are the problem.

Good for Boehner!

I don't think I've ever thought or said anything good about John Boehner. However, in an effort to be Fair and Balanced, especially in a thread devoted to kooky GOP quotes, I want to give credit where credit is due. I just found the following article re Boehner that I think demonstrates that he's capable of being fair and balanced himself:

House Minority Leader John Boehner on Wednesday criticized the decision by conservative media personality Andrew Breitbart to air only a small portion of the video showing USDA official Shirley Sherrod making racially charged remarks earlier this year, which led to her firing.

"It's unfortunate that whoever laid this out there didn't lay out the whole story, as opposed to a part of it," said Boehner, an Ohio Republican, at a lunch with journalists in Washington.

"They only put a little piece of the story out there and people make judgments and they rush and they make bad decisions. They make rash decisions. I don't want to say bad because I haven't seen all of this," he said.

Other conservatives, including National Review's Jonah Goldberg, RedState's Erick Erickson, and The Weekly Standard's John McCormack, have also criticized Breitbart's actions.

I guess that my niece-in-law is a good candidate for politics since, yesterday, she asked (via Facebook) how she might find someone overseas.....she's looking for someone in the "Phillipians".
