What I don't miss

New posts
I miss being blissfully uninformed....knowing every (bad) thing the moment it happens, wherever it happens, and then being verbally and graphically bombarded over and over with the same information isn't my idea of that which is condusive of "happiness".

I miss "funny" that didn't require the "F-bomb" be invoked....

I miss going to bed with unlocked doors and open windows and not even thinking about "what if?".

I miss new cars with style that'd last longer than the model year.

I could do this all day but, as the song says "...there is no future in the past....".

Heck during Disco times in ATL, it was the 6 for 1 happy hour at the Slimelight?
Did I just date myself????? AAAArgh!

The Slimelight  in the "Disco Kroger" shopping center! Remember the dance floor with the sharks swimming underneath? Ahh, those were the days my friend!:shark:

I miss not being able to do the things I used to be able to do. Both physically and mentally. The mind says go ahead and do it but the body won't let me. It sucks getting older. I used to be able to work side by side with my boys, now they make me take a break so they can keep going.

Being able to drive out 30A to get away from the crowds in Destin, when I used to go camping where Sandpiper Cove was planted, when our public parks were public( not leased to a vendor ) When the oysters and fish were safe to eat.

Actually that sounds like a pretty great deal to me! As in... I'll sit here while
"you go on and get down wif yo' bad selves!" :D

My "baby" being a baby! I miss the sweet smell of him after a bath when he was a baby. I miss him letting me read to him. I miss his sweet baby kisses...oh, well I will stop now. Just very sentimental about those times knowing in 3 months he will be graduating and I am just a little sad about that.

Oh, and I miss Disco DD! Loved everything about the disco days including my great BIG hair. :D:wave:

Well, after reading the title of this thread again I realized that read it wrong!!!

I DO miss my "baby" being a baby. I am such a blond sometimes. ;-)

me too!!!!!!!!!!!

what fun it was to dance for hours on end!!! it was almost hard to drink too much because we were dancing too much!

actually, the RED BAR brings it all back for us sometimes, late at night when they turn up the disco music and let us dance all over the place... also, DJ Vladi knows how to give us some disco when we hire him for a good partay!!!

Oh alright, I see I'm in the minority.

Let's see, what else don't I miss? Hmmmmm...

Scrunchies.

Isn't "scrunchies" when your undies bunch up?....

:DI suppose it could be, but in this case I was talking about those hair thingies.
