They are self financing through abduction,stolen art,tribute payments for protection,taxation,oil,slavery. They are very,very well financed from within. I am proposing that a coalition of NATO or the U.N. is ultimately the best way to deal with this mafia like group that is now active in several countries. There's no knee jerk about it. It's a horrible situation. We can wait like Roosevelt for it to come to us, or we can be proactive and lead. Nobody wants any of this, but you cannot ignore the problem anymore. It's front and center. Obama has rarely acknowledged the religious component to this. I seem to remember NATO literally begged Clinton to bomb Serbia into submission. Someone needs to step up, before some more idiots start randomly attacking here. I don't see another solution other than the current reactive hand wringing. We can do far more to make the ground they stand on untenable. And yes, we don't need to follow the GW blueprint. This is a perfect opportunity for Obama to start moving in a positive direction through leadership. What the President is doing is not enough.

Reminds me of how he reacted to the ebola scare, and we see how that horrible disease has devastated our country. I don't even want to leave the house because of that.

Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush has said the United States should accept Syrian refugees if they’re Christian, but not if they’re Muslim.

But the former Florida governor on Tuesday was unable to explain how refugees would prove they were adherents of the Christian faith.

“At a minimum we ought to be bringing in people that have — orphans or people that clearly aren’t going to be terrorists. Or Christians,” Bush told reporters in South Carolina, according to ABC News. “There are no Christian terrorists in the Middle East, they’re persecuted.”

One reporter questioned what his focus on Christian refugees would “actually look like.”

“Well, you’re a Christian, I mean, you can prove you’re a Christian,” Bush responded.

“How?” a reporter interjected.

“I think you can prove it,” Bush shrugged. “If you can’t prove it, you know, you err on the side of caution.”

The GOP candidate added that Christians in Islamic State-controlled territory were being persecuted, and that all refugees should be thoroughly vetted.

You sound just like a guy that used to be on this site. We called for his freedom from exile, but our voices were dashed by the Int'l. web police and chess club. Rumors spread..he lost it mentally and was living in the Keys poaching Key Deer and living off of the beer can infested land, others said that he got a haircut, was baptized in the blood and was secretly advising Ted Cruz. Yet with Poppaj, (French spelling?) it as if he has channeled a beautiful muse who has not forgotten the words of the sacred SoWal shaman....

Why does America always need to be the country to take the most risk when the world goes to ****? When you have a political party that doesn't want to feed the hungry or house the homeless, is against universal healthcare for it's citizens, wants to deny equal pay for women and marriage for gays, supports a single religion, shames the poor, is against a minimum living wage, and is eager to continue policies that increase income inequality, you begin to question just what the hell a service member is fighting for.

interestingly today one of the largest insurers United Health Group is dropping out of the Obamacare fiasco in 2017...they say they are losing money. The cruel joke is that anyone in the middle class not qualifying for subsidies is being given a literal beat down for a program sold under false pretenses so as not to reveal the massive giveaway. We are on the path to single payer. This one issue is the biggest reason our economy won't catch fire imo. Service members are patriotic mercenaries today. I don't believe we could ever have a draft again. I'd guess 1/3-1/2 Repubs are not so far right, as many would reasonably find middle ground with a President who was not an ideologue. Of course there is no sense in shaming the poor, but I believe we have a duty to ourselves to not affirm victimhood. See University of Missouri. Dialogue not brinksmanship is the answer. How can you boost minimum wage to a living wage without destroying margins for small business already taxed to the gills? If you mandate everything, you end up with nothing. Agree with you on ground war, but Obama needs to lead...there are many more strategies we can employ. His interview with Stephanopolous and his G20 presser was sad.
