The seller is from New Orleans and owns multiple car dealerships there. Katrina was not kind to him and he is busy rebuilding the family business. I'm not sure how his wife feels about the whole thing! I think the house was finished just before the summer last year, so perhaps she got at least one summer's use out if it.

It really is a beautiful house and sits on one of the best pieces of gulf front property along 30A and possibly the whole panhande. However, there is another house in The Retreat that I think is in an even better location. It sits very high overlooking Draper Lake, the conservation dunes, and the gulf. What a view! And it has the added advantage of getting that great view while sitting nice and safe back (and high) from the gulf. If that one ever goes up for sale, I bet it would sell quickly.
 
Just curious, on sales of this amount or say 3 million + does the realty company do a flat sale fee or does the normal 5-6% apply ?

Each listing agreement can be different.
 
Depends on whether Blake Morar is an owner of the Real Estate Co. or not. The house next to it on the East side is very nice as well! they just overhauled it. Nice Bamboo floors and all!
