After school enrichment suggestions

I am looking for suggestions for 2013-14 after school enrichment programs. Wondering if there are tutors or small group activities for elementary school students that help them achieve their full potential. Ideas?

Great suggestion! It is really too bad we have gotten to the point where our youth cannot work at odd jobs in the summer. I was 11 when I started cutting lawns. I learned a lot from my customers but more importantly, I soon learned the value of a dollar. This type of education is completely lacking in today's society.

WaltonParent, I may be misreading you but I think you are being sarcastic toward what I posted. How anyone raises their kids are their business. I, BTW, hated my father for many of the things he made me do at the time. It was only later that I realized how right he was. It is a moot point, anyway, as youth now days can't work at an early age. We might harm their delicate psyche by exposing them to the real world.

If real world = work then I am going to move to the beach!

WP - check out Scouts, Panama City Swim Team at Frank Brown Park, Junior Lifeguards at SWFD, readings at the library.

Andy, was not being sarcastic. I did start a paper route at 10. The post said since my son is only 7, he has 3 more years before he starts working. Sorry if you misinterpreted.

I'm sorry I misinterpreted as well.
