Sheila,
I typed "Israel" under the Amazon search engine and came up with the following titles:
1) A History of Israel Howard Sachar
2) The Case for Israel Alan Dershowitz
3) Standing with Israel David Brog
None of these titles suggests an anti-Israeli slant. In fact two are clearly pro-Israeli.
I need to explain that I grew up in the middle east, having spent 8 years of my life there, both living and traveling the region extensively. I consider myself fairly educated in the subject of mideast history and politics -and you would be hard pressed to find anyone with a deeper desire for peace in that region.
However, I feel that it is time for a reasonable debate in this country with regards to our middle east policy. And as such, in a democracy, we should be allowed to hear and debate different points of view.
I am not familiar with the books you mentioned, but it would seem that it is appropriate for a company, like Amazon, to offer books with differing points of view so that they may be read, and debated.
Just my 2 shekels, or dinars worth.
