Any Public Pools?

Beach Crab
I'll be on vacation the first week in April. This will be our 8th consecutive year coming to 30-A. We stay at places that are smaller condo complexes directly on the beach but they do not have a pool. Are there any public pools around 30-A or ones that don't mind having a quiet 'guest' during Spring Break week?

The closest public pool is in Panama City Beach at Frank Brown Park. It is easy to meet friendly folks who have access to pools though.

There's always crashing.

Is the YMCA pool in Destin still open. Just an alternative, but traffic may make it way worse than driving to PCB.

With small children, Frank Brown Park offers a fun play pool with slides and equipment in it. For the adults, an olympic size pool is available for laps. This is an easy 20-25 minutes on Hwy 98 from SoWalBeaches, near Pier Park.

I've wanted to try that pool, so maybe we will this spring. I went online and found the site for Frank Brown Park but couldn't see any fees. One site said the park is free to the public (though don't know if it's free to non-locals), but I couldn't see anything about the cost, if any, to use the pool. The site says the pool is heated. Does anyone know the cost of using the park/pools?

Yes there are fees. Many of our sowal kids learned to swim there, fantastic swim program by the PCB college swim team, summer lessons and year round swim teams for kids. Lots of adults like to do laps there.
