When driving by the newly rebuilt Bayou Bills location on 98 in SRB, I noticed that there is a "Now Hiring" sign. I didn't get the phone number off the sign, but I imagine if you call the Bayou Bills in PCB, they would know.

Good news for Bayou Bills! NOW HIRING! Sure nice to hear and see that! They location rocks so I imagine they will be hiring lots of folks. Very well run local business!

I'm looking for someone to split one of those big-azz buckets with a little bit of everything in it - did they still have those?

I know exactly what you're talking about, not sure if they still have them, but it was always enough for me, myself, and I. :floor:

Steamed buckets!!!

Heck yea, i could stuff an 8 top in two buckets, wipe it and walk away! I bussed tables there from 1989 to 1992! Paid for many a lost crab-cracker, but really got my learning for the restaurant business from a real pro. Bill knew how hard that business is, and how to make a success. Moving back to sowal in two weeks and cannot wait to introduce my family to fried alligator and steamed garlic crabs!!!

1989 - 1992. My courting, marrying and pre-baby days. I would be afraid to guess how many times you probably picked up my plate.

I can remember when Bill & Barbara took a BIG chance on SRB and opened up out here. I was used to the little wooden mallets and crabs "debris" all over myself from his place on the harbor. Folks couldnt believe my son (about 3 or 4 at the time) coming in and having to have his own plate of the 'gator over rice. Cant wait til we can go back in and have it again. Fortunately, he is old enough now to buy his own.

I personally hope it has the ambiance it used to have when it reopens. It looked like a local business that had been there forever. I really hope it isn't a dressed up looks like everyone else restaurant. I was drawn to all the cool stuff all over the walls.
