The Walton County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) will be hosting an organizational meeting for beach volunteers on March 21, 2013, 6 p.m. at the South Walton substation. WCSO is looking for individuals who want to volunteer spending time on our beaches reporting crime as they see it occur. According to Lt. Danny Garner, beach volunteers will report crimes to the Sheriff’s Office over their own phones and they will be given a beach volunteer t-shirt to wear during their volunteer work hours. Individuals volunteering may work as little or as long as they like.
