It's snot. But starting the biz out of your garage might get you some leeway. Laying off people is necessary sometimes in a huge corporation.

He's doing better than Musk and many other CEO. The layoffs constitute about 3% of total Amazon employees. Bezos' annual salary is 81k plus 1.6M in other company compensation. But his net worth is unimaginable to me. Doing something good with it is a start.
