I hate being cold. We will have to find some cute snow bunny clothes and claim a spot by an outdoor fireplace!

shuffle board on ice. I would rather watch a chess match. How the heck did this crap become a "sport?" Why aren't Darts an Olympic sport? Isn't this a skill rather than a sport? The only activity involved is sliding from one end to the other and sweeping. When I think of the word sport, active is the first word that comes to mind.

All of this got me to wondering, and here is what I found:

sport ( P ) Pronunciation Key (sp?rt, sp
omacr.gif
rt)
n.
    1. Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively.
    2. A particular form of this activity.
  1. An activity involving physical exertion and skill that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often undertaken competitively.

Perhaps the Olympic Committee needs to create the Olympic Skills Competition to go along with real Olympic Sports Competition. :idontno:

They need to tighten up that definition. According to the definition of sport, that ribbon dancing stuff IS a sport. :idontno:

Anything that can be done while drinking a beer and smoking a cigarette is not a sport - curling, bowling, golf, racing cars, biking, etc.

Well, maybe biking if you have a skin tight outfit, pointy helmet, and you splash water all over yourself every few miles.
