I sure don't like seeing metal stakes on the beach. ,,,
Sand fencing was used a lot more on the beaches between Opal and Dennis, ..., the sand fencing kept people off the dunes and helped to build certain areas by trapping sand.
... .

The turtle people taught me something about sand fencing. Segments should be oriented from SE to NW, as the primary winds blow. If the fencing is put up parallel to the shore as a barrier, it is not helpful to the beach.
Hearing that made me wonder again how wise it is for the TDC to OK putting belongings on the dune toe, often blocking the sand fencing.
To make rules, work, live, or visit here should require attending a class and a permit stating you have passed the Emerald Coast Preservation Test.

Go nuts w/ taking photos of people violating the rules/laws! If the paparrazzi can do it, so can you! Sometimes people only behave when they think someone is watching............so click, post, and shame them into good behavior!
