Does anyone know Charlotte, NC

Hi guys,
This is always one of the first places I go to when I am looking for info:

My husband and I are going for 2 nights / 3 days to Charlotte, NC - (to see Seinfeld at Oven's Auditorium) - we are both in the design field and would love any suggestions anyone has as we do know the city at all.

Hotel recommendations - nice, hip, trendy, design.....???
Restaurant Recommendations: cool decor and good ambiance is more desirable to us than great food in a mediocre setting....

Any and all feedback would be HUGELY appreciated.
