Don't get me started on drug companies... they are so crooked it's ridiculous. Vaccinations are almost completely useless, but are such a huge money-maker that they push them like anything. But I digress...
I imagine some of the mark-up on prescriptions are due to the massive amount of research that goes into the field in general. Someone's got to pay for all that. Though with the way meds are being pulled for health hazards, perhaps they ought to do a bit more research before selling the stuff, but that's a rant for another day.
