Emerald Coast Pride is this area's (Panama City (Beach)/ Bay and surrounding Counties) only LGBT Pride Organization. Founded a little over 4 years ago, our mission is to provide: education, social support and advocacy for this area's LGBT community. With our primary focus, for the first couple years, being in Panama City (Beach) and Bay County, we are pleased and honored to be branching out to our neighboring counties in an effort to make our voices heard and to bring awareness of LGBT issues here in NWFL.
We are the only Pride Organization between Tallahassee and Pensacola, and we are extremly pleased to announce this area's first MAJOR Pride Festival Weekend to be held the weekend of June 25-27, 2010. With an awesome line up of local and national talent, this weekend will surpass any events we have held in the past. Our estimate target of attendees is around 750 to 1,000 community goes and supporters from all across the Southeast! Our unique angle is hosting a Pride Festival directly on our sugary white sand beaches as the emerald waters rush ashore. This is the only Pride Festival you can attend that is directly on the beach!
