Wondering if anyone has had a situation like this:
Lady hits my daughter's car in YMCA parking lot and leaves note with ph# for compensation.
She asks us to get an estimate to see if damage is over her $500 deductible before turning it in to insurance. It is over.
She gives us her policy # to call her insurance company. They set an appointment with their adjuster.
I discover that my daughter was parked at the end of a row and not in an official parking spot. Other cars parked there also - sorta "overflow" but not legit.
They had a hold on the payout. Adjuster says they usually contact back same day or next and at latest today.
What typically happens when client admits fault but claimant wasn't parked correctly?
any thoughts?
