A dolphin weighing between 600 and 700 pounds jumped onto the deck of a boat, injuring a woman. Isles of Capri Fire spokesman Keith Perry says a charter boat captain called 911 at 2:44 p.m. Sunday after the dolphin jumped on the boat and landed on one of his passengers.
The woman suffered a sprained ankle. Her name was not available.
Officials from the Isles of Capri Fire Department, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Collier County Sheriff's Office used an immobilizing board and a rope to push the dolphin back into the water.

Poor dolphin, I wonder what he was running from, or where he wanted a ride to?

I was wondering if the poor little(big) dolphin was trying to get away from the oil spill- like where was he from. It could have been random, also. It seems the lady only sustained a minor injury, I hope the dolphin is going to be ok, too.

If I googled it correctly, the incident occurred near Collier county which is in the sw tip on the gulf.
I love our little ocean friends and pray that their home gets healed as we continue to clean and monitor the gulf and surrounding areas.
