Still cannot give blood as I lived in the UK - but I can and do give platelets and would encourage anyone who can to do this as well.

More time consuming but quite worthy and hopefully very helpful. One of my friends had leukemia and during chemo needed regular new, clean platelets (I know I am not using correct terminology!! - anyone feel free to correct me) - mine were not a match for her but because I would donate in her name (would be given to someone else) then she would be given someone else's whose blood type matched hers.

I can't donate, but strongly encourage everyone who can to do so!
 
Thanks to Panera Bread Company for making such delicious sandwiches :wub: for us today. They also brought chips and tasty cookies. :clap:
