i'm glad you had a nice time with your sisters ! me and mine are barely talking, she is a bit cranky and mean - if she doesn't have this baby before long i don't know what we'll do. plus she bursts into tears all the time and i can't stand that. i feel so helpless because there is nothing i can do for her. she told me last night to quit calling and checking on her, i was jinxing her and she would never have this baby if i didn't quit calling

Well, the show was sponsored by Brookshires out of Texas. It was scheduled to start at 2:00 but the arena opened at 12:00 for vendors to show their stuff and give out food samples. I don't think Brookshires was prepared for what they got. You could not move around those booths. It was ridiculously crowded with barely any room to breathe. But of course it didn't stop us and we got tons of freebies!:funn: She started the show by introducing herself and giving a little background about the restaurant. People began to shout out questions and requests so she talked for at least an hour telling stories. This one little old lady brought her some recipes, it was so sweet. Paula is so funny! Her husband Michael came with her and it's a good thing because he did all the cooking while she talked!:shock: We got a free bag and stuff from Brookshires and it had all the recipes she prepared in it. It was Brookshire's first show and has a lot of kinks to work out but all in all we had a good time and lots of laughs!:clap_1:

Sounds like sooooo much funn! Would love to go see her! Have made many of her recipes....which is why I now have to live a "healthier" lifestyle!

Thanks everybody! I have had an awesome birthday weekend. Went to see Paula Deen, got sang to at two restaurants both of which my meals were paid for, got $125, an electric broom and JCPenney gift card. But the best part is I spent the weekend with my sisters!

what a nice birthday! Paula Deen is a hoot - and love her cooking... I'll bet you really enjoyed the show.:clap_1:
