Happy Memorial Day

[30A Skunkape]

I hope everyone has a good holiday and I urge that all please take at least a few moments to remember what it is all about. Thanks to the blood, sweat, tears and lives of countless vets we get to screw around on the beach with nary a care except for such issues as seagrass, pompano and sunburn which beats the hell out of tyranny, fear and injustice.

Well said..

God Bless America, and God bless all the wonderful men and women that have served, are serving today, and will serve in the future.

Regardless of how you feel about our current conflicts and the ugliness of it all, we are the most fortunate people this world has ever known, because of the sacrifice of so many throughout our history.

This day gives us a little time to pause and remember those sacrifices, and to renew our pledge to a great nation.

All the best to my fellow SOWALLERS, with a big lump in the throat!!!

Would seem we are the only ones on our street flying the American flag. Guess most people just think of this as a long holiday weekend and forgot the reason we observe it.

Cap'n Crazy summed it up so well - very nice remarks Cap'n!
