Today at Habitat for Humanity of Walton County, a group of University of Pittsburgh students who had come to Florida for their spring break, began construction of House #20 on Fish or Cut Bait Road in Defuniak Springs. We welcome volunteers to join us as we continue to take the house to the dry in stage. Here are directions to the job site:
Directions for #20
The directions are based on the intersection of Highway 90 and Highway 331 in Defuniak Springs FL. There is a Tom Thumb on the corner and a private airport across the street. From the Defuniak Springs intersection, go North on 331 - 2.4 miles to Oak Ridge Road, which will be on your right. You will see a small brick wall on the edge of the road which has some lettering on it that says "Juniper Lakes Estates". There will be a house on the left side of 331 that has a blue tin roof and a small yellow house behind the brick wall. Turn right onto Oak Ridge Road and go 1.8 miles following the road around all the curves. Fish or Cut Bait Road is a right hand turn. HFH house is first on the left about 100 yards from Oak Ridge.
And here is a link to a photo album of the day's work on our Facbook page
