I-10 is closed from the Alabama Line to Tallahassee [re-opened]

FDOT Update on I-10


FDOT advises that I-10 is closed from the Alabama Line to Tallahassee. They have no immediate plans for reopening as any thawing that takes place tomorrow will be immediately followed by sub-freezing temperatures Thursday night. They have accident vehicles still littering the Interstate from previous accidents that they have not been able to move.


Temperatures tonight will drop to near 15 degrees in Walton County with daybreak temps in the mid 20s. Sub-freezing temps Thursday night will be followed by warming conditions and sunshine on Friday. By Friday afternoon most of the area should thaw, and remain above freezing into the weekend.
