JobsPlus Opens a Business and Veterans Services Office in South Walton
The Workforce Development Board of Okaloosa and Walton Counties and its JobsPlus One-Stop Career Centers are pleased to announce the opening of a Business and Veterans Services Office in South Walton. The new office will provide employment and training services to employers and veterans in the South Walton area.
“After speaking with businesses in South Walton we knew that there was a need for our presence in the south part of the county,” stated Linda Sumblin, Executive Director of the Workforce Development Board of Okaloosa and Walton Counties. “With the opening of the new office, we will be able to provide personal one-on-one services without requiring employers or veterans to travel to one of the other Centers.”
The new location will provide businesses with recruitment assistance, information on incentive programs, labor market information and layoff aversion and assistance. The Veteran Representative will also provide priority of service for eligible veterans, job referral services, training grant information and job market information.
