As for the trip - though I really hated to skip SoWal this year, AZ was a pretty stellar alternative. Absolutely stunning scenery - everywhere. Most of time in Flagstaff while we bounced up to GC a couple of days and then east into painted desert area, spent time in Sedona, and in a resort in Phoenix (laying around / in pools). Hiked down into GC (only about mile and a half - hiking back up much less fun ;-) ). Most excellent deals on hotels, air, & car so can't beef about cost. Phoenix temps were pretty up there (100-105), but Flagstaff & north of there more mountain weather. All said & done, pretty capital fine time.

I emailed this thread to CJ - she will check in with us eventually. She is very busy this year with her new Montessori Teaching career - I am so proud!!! She will be my personal consultant for all things regarding spidey for the next 20 years...
