These two new reactors are about 3 miles from my "home place" in Burke County Georgia. It will bring some much needed jobs to the area. Before construction began in the 70's for the 1st two reactors, we used to go 4-wheeling in the 'hole'. At the height of construction, my family's convenience store, across the road from the plant, had a Budweiser truck in the parking lot 24 hours a day 7 days a week, and someone stocking the cooler all day and all night.
