FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The recycling trailer is back at the Inlet Beach Fire Station by popular
demand! There is also a new one behind the fire station at Watercolor
on County Road 395.

The recycling trailer provides collection bins to recycle newspaper,
aluminum cans, glass and plastic. Recycling is also done at the
landfill. Every truckload of trash and garbage brought to the landfill
is processed by inmate labor crews to remove cardboard, glass, plastic
and aluminum.

Other trailer locations in south Walton are behind the Miramar Beach
Fire station, the South Walton Annex on U. S. 331, and another at Bay
Elementary School on Gilmore Street in Point Washington.

North of the Bay trailers are located at all elementary schools, Walton
Middle School and at the Tri-Village Fire Station on State Road 20 in
Choctaw Beach.

Both locations are good news. The trailer at Bay Elementary in Pt. Wash has been woefully overloaded every time I've been there recently. We needed the increased capacity, not to mention the convenience.

I've kept looking for the trailer behind the fire station and was about to decide it didn't happen.

It happened, just not behind the fire station. Look behind Publix. It's in the parking lot for the Watercolor offices. Nicely hidden, so it won't be full to overflowing like the one at Bay Elementary.

Thank you for this information. We're dedicated recyclers and it kills me to have to throw out our cans, bottles, and paper while we're in SoWal. I'm glad we won't have to anymore. :clap_1:
