Safety of beach and walkovers

New posts
Camping on the beach is illegal so the Sheriff would be able to do something.

Perhaps I should take and post pictures of the homeless camp I found.

i apologize for being vague earlier - we aren't uncharitable, but like the man scooterbug saw last fall, we are reasonably sure that these are not people who are homeless/down on their luck. they remind me of old fashioned "hobos" that i used to read about as a kid - the guys who rode the rails. [andy griffith had an episode with a hobo played by buddy ebsen]. they have all kinds of scavenged chairs, umbrellas, tarps, coolers, tables, etc etc. and the area continues to grow. they also beg for money from sunbathers in a very low-key way. we are kind of surprised that their stuff isn't disposed of when the beach is cleaned - ? anyway, it is probably not unsafe, but may be off-putting for tourists. i have stopped going to bramble by myself. we just wondered if anyone knew anything, especially with regard to safety.

The Don Crim beach access at Brumble Grove is safer than most places where there is no local on watch. I'm pretty sure if a crime was committed, 911 would be called promptly. I have been there many times over the last year and I enjoyed a few sunsets and a few quiet moments when I needed a safe beautiful place to clear my mind. No worries there. I hope people leave well enough alone on that beach.
