This project consists of improving the existing boat launch facility and construction of an additional asphalt parking area at the end of CR 395 (Point Washington Road). In addition to the boat launch improvements, a timber dock will be constructed to assist in vessel launch and recovery and a timber fishing dock will be constructed to the west of the launch facility.

Very nice and much needed. That old dock just wasn't safe to walk on anymore. Hope some of the old underwater timbers get removed. Many hazards near that launch.

Yep - not the same since Truman took the ferry and AV White passed on.

The Truman show folks wanted AV to move his shrimp boat so they could spruce up the dock and use it for the ferry scene. I heard he made them pay.

You might contact the county and give them your suggestions about the pilings.
