Beach Fanatic
Just a reminder that school starts today and it will be chaotic on 30A this morning & afternoon around Butler. Please give yourself time if you are driving that way & have patience with all the parents. The chaos will subside. Also please watch for busses & the kids getting off of them as well as walkers & bike riders.

Back to school is a busy time. With more distractions and traffic, it pays to slow down and pay attention. Please review the following driver safety tips:
- Double Check Crosswalks – fully stop at stop signs and red lights to ensure the area is clear before accelerating
- Watch for School Bus Stop Signs – when a school bus stops with its red brake lights flashing and/or its stop sign raised, you must stop from either direction until all children have safely crossed the roadway
- Don’t Rush – during the first few weeks of the school year, leave yourself extra time to travel to your destination
- Driveways – enter and exit driveways and alleys slowly and carefully
- Distractions – reduce any distractions inside your car so you can concentrate on the road and your surroundings. Put down your phone and do not text while driving
- Cross the street with an adult at crosswalks and traffic signal locations
- Never run out into the streets or cross in between parked cars
- Walk in front of the bus where the driver can see the students
- Remove headphones and put away phones when crossing the street
