~~~~~~~yesterday was my baking day. Several pies and brownies. These are given out to people are very special to me or who have done some random act of kindness for me.
I had a couple of GF over and we got started on the pies, which was going to take several hours. We had plenty of wine and there was one pie that didn't have quite enough filling, so it was to be the pie that I would nibble on all week. We were nibbling on it last night like girl friends do with just our fingers after a long day of baking, etc, dancing to the AMA last night and of course getting sideways.
Finally, last night at ten o'clock, certain that all the pies had sufficiently cooled, I wrapped them all up and packaged for delivery. Started delivery this morning. I just now decided to have a little bit and I looked at my three remaining pies........none of which is the one we had our fingers in last night!!!!
FTLOG!!!! I gave away a pie to someone special that was already eaten and not very lady-like, to boot.
After the shock of this realization, I thought, "I hope I didn't give that pie to the guy who got on the roof Sat. and will be helping me through this process." (Yes, having roofing issues.) Random act of kindness guy - definitely not close, close friend!
Emailing and calling all of my recipients and so far no one has the eaten pie. Can you believe this? I am going to have to knock on his door again and switch out a pie. And, when I gave it to him this morning he said, "What kind is it? Wife was going to make a pecan pie, but now we have homemade apple so this is great!"
<sigh> I'm not even embarrassed! The Universe should so be accustomed to this from my home at this point~~~~~~~ FTLOC!!!!
