lifelong Sox (Boston) fans
wow ... a knunkle grinding game last night
playoff baseball baby !
Okijima comes in for 2 1/3 shutout innings as the gangway between Schilling & Papelbon - what an outstanding effort and just some awesome baseball - Oki was the story of the game no doubt, but that extra hustle from Mikey Lowell getting to third ... was the play of the game
Sox up 2-0
!!! GO SOX !!!
- the Patriots look, WOW, unbelievable
- Celtics have bigtime promise this year
- Bruins look they might actually compete this season too

Ooo, and thanks for the Taco Jacoby !
With his stolen base last night, Red Sox outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury earned everyone in the country a free taco from Taco Bell on Tuesday, Oct. 30, between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
(thanks to Taco Bell's "Steal a Base, Steal a Taco" promotion).
Ellsbury's taco jackpot (Thanks, Jacoby!) inspired Boston.com user Jeff Dockum to come up with this nickname for the young speedster and create this image for us.

beats on hood
My daughter, Beach Jacket, is a Sox fan after going to MIT and living in Cambridge/Boston. She hasn't been active on this message board -- I guess she feels weird about being on the same board as her Mom.

those spacious gaping greens out at Coors Field had us concerned
it wasn't the big bats & longballs, it was timely hitting, great base running and a little bit of luck
Matsuzaka pitched into the 6th + gets a 2 out/2 rbi knock -- Oki throws a cookie and gets humbled with the 3-run jack off of Hollidays bat to make it 6-5 ... then, unrattled, settles in to retire the side ... stunning !
rookies Pedroia & Ellsbury playing HUGE roles - Papelbon closing the door for the last four outs
what can you say except wow ... the future looks very very bright

an overall great team effort
