Tenant screening, Credit Reports etc....

I wanted to let everyone know that we have a service that could help out all that are trying to rent their properties.

Most of our business is employment screening, including criminal arrest history (we deal with real police departments, not databases), SSN traces, employment credit reports, driving history etc.

We have just expanded our business & now provide TENANT credit reports. :clap_1: (which is different than employee/applicant credit reports)

A few months ago some of you might remember we were looking for tenant's for our rental house on 30a. We had the perfect business to screen out the applicants we had, & eventually found two of the best people anyone would want to have renting their home.
We also have a house in Atlanta. Our first real applicants had several arrests & current warrants in another state. Not to mention one had a suspended license due to excessive speeding tickets & last but not least horrendous credit reports.
Our current renter is in his 3rd month with us, everything seems to be just fine & we are getting our rent on time.

We'd like to offer our services to anybody out there that needs help finding the right tenant. (or employee)
Sorry, we don't screen dates. Although we'd probably make a fortune.

I am not a lawyer, but one advice you must get the tennant/renters permission to pull a credit report or do any investigation report required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fcra.htm
You can do this if and only if you include a statement in the renters application that is signed by the person that allows you to pull these background reports or wise you could be sued by the renter.

That is absolutely correct Hutch, which is why we can't screen your neighbors or someone you want to date.

We have a special consent form that must be signed by anyone that is being screened for anything.

Maybe we should pull these types of reports on anyone we or want to date sign the agreement to pull these types of reports. Too many people want to marry for money and not love. Do not get me wrong you are providing a service that in this day and time need to done to screen tenants. You be surprised how many women are working and supporting their husbands that will or do not want to work. I not one of these. Must be LOVE.

If there were only a test to accurately screen out spouses huh? Would save many of us time & money. Unfortunately someone can have perfect credit, no arrest history, but still be a pompous, lying, cheating, whiny, mooching loser.

You should see the police reports that come through here. Some people have pages of arrests. Offenses even committed in your 20's can affect job opportunities for years. Unfortunately, one bad apple can ruin a business.

There is an easy cure for those wives supporting husbands that refuse to work, you kick them out & change the locks.

If that isn't done, it's not the husband's fault, it's the wife's.

Well said! What's wrong with these people today. I have friends that their wifes make more money and the husband use the excuse that it cost to much for me to go to work. They call themself house husbands, but most of the day they are sleeping or watching TV. Kids are in school. When the little wife comes home for work. "What's for Dinner" Most of these people are professionals, nurses, doctors and lawyers. I am just sorry I could not find one to support me while I fish everyday.
