Toxic seafood warning

Salmon & Sardines

I just ate a can of Salmon with lemon pepper two days in a row, at lunch! One can for total of two days, that is. It was great with, Kashi 7 grain crackers! I also got canned Sardines for only .85 at Dollar General, for a little something different!;-)
Just a quick reminder that there are many people employed by the seafood industry and starting to throw around the idea that Gulf of Mexico seafood is toxic due to the oil spill, when there is no evidence of such, can be an economic death nail.

Also, I just wanted to remind everyone with an aversion to fish because it isn't harvested in a sustainable manner or holds toxins that there are many beneficial nutrients and fats they are missing out on. I have done some reading and it appears that the lowly sardine may be just the answer. They are abundant, impossible to overfish it would seem, pack all the beneficial nutrients of larger fish and do not harbor toxins because they are small and have a short life span. I picked up a can at Publix for about $2.50 and will give it a try. I was told that for rookies the boneless, skinless variety is the way to go.
