Glad you got a lot of help with your request, egbmomma. And ALS definitely needs a lot more research to tame the monster. There's some really good research on ALS going on at the University of Michigan. the family and swimmers and foundation are all from Michigan though they, of course, hope their work impacts far beyond the local area. The swimmers raised almost $120,000 for ALS from their swim. Not too shabby!
You will have a great time with your dad - simply sitting on a porch feels great on 30A. We pretty much live on our porch when we're there (when not at the pool or beach).
