Watch out for those jellyfish...

The kids and I learned yesterday that those purple flags are there for a reason. The three of us all got stung by those little brown (not sure what species) jellyfish. The water was so beautiful that it was hard to stay on the beach, but we paid the price. All of us got three or four red areas on our skin as a result. Nothing life threatening, but they do hurt.

Yeah, they were out in force when we were there too. A couple of the kids got stung, but mr. dd applied windex and made it all better...:idontno:

Just returned from a little stroll at the beach- the water is so clear and beautiful this morning- you will be able to see the tiniest of jellyfish if they are out there.

:chill: Reminder - Purple flags mean "marine pests" .... and some pest bite.... :shark:

For whatever reason, there are always a ton of jellies close to shore in the area the weekend of Sandestin Triathlon. I don't know why, but it never fails.
