The Hibiscus Café in Grayton Beach is Pure Goodness
Every morning in Grayton Beach at Hibiscus Café is special but Sundays are off the chart! The Café opens as usual at 7:30 a.m., but the real fun starts with the Hibiscus Backyard of Love Funday Sunday Brunch charity events from 10 to 1. The regular Café menu is expanded to include wine and a mimosa bar with live music underneath the beautiful oaks. Continue reading... What do you think? Thankful for Thanksgiving Fishing
The Thanksgiving holiday is over and we have had a great run of weather here at the beach. Most years I am booked every day the week of Thanksgiving but the weather only lets us fish a couple/three days. This year I have been able to take my folks out and get 'em a mess of fish for 10 out of the past 11 days! Continue reading... What do you think? Seagrove Village Market Café Celebrates Anniversary
It was a sad day for many SoWal folks back in 2015 when the old Seagrove Village Market Café was torn down. But thanks to owners George and Ann Hartley, the “new and improved” café re-opened last year (November 2016) just a stone-throw away from its original location, still serving up the same “Deep Fried Love” that it is famous for. Chef David Bishop Celebrates a Decade of Cooking Up Good Times at Bud & Alley’s
Though you may find him fishing, you won’t likely ever find Chef David Bishop fishing for compliments. Hardworking, focused and self-effacing, Bishop would rather be nearly anywhere than in the spotlight. Not surprisingly, the place he is most at home, most relaxed and happy is in his kitchen at Bud & Alley’s Waterfront Restaurant in Seaside, which is where we caught up with him recently between lunch and dinner service. Five Daughters Bakery Sweetens Airstream Row in Seaside
Nothing Is Sweeter Than family That's emblazoned on the front of one of the t-shirts hanging off a shiny airstream addition on Scenic 30A in Seaside. The sweet family concept is displayed daily by the sugary concoctions emanating from the silver home of Five Daughters Bakery where Isaac and Stephanie Meek have settled in with their sweet donut eats.
