Thought you might like to see some surf shots from Long Beach Island New Jersey. Wind gusts got up to 45 mph yesterday.
Definitely some good surfing waves, although no one surfed with the rip currents- thank god.

Peapod, these pics were taken Friday and Ernesto was at its peak. They got rain Friday night I believe. It was supposed to get real heavy.

I was supposed to stay through the weekend, but got tired of clouds, wind and rain ALL week long. The rain was supposed to stop Saturday afternoon, and it was probably decent there today, since we had some sun today and the storm was moving eastward. We had heavy wind yesterday here in New York, clouds and drizzle, so it was probably ok in LBI on Saturday.

There is only so much mini-golf, books and movies you can see for 8 days with kids around We made the best of it though. If it wasn't raining, we were on the beach and jumping waves ;-)

The Jersey Shore IS quite beautiful!!!!! I see what you have seen all these years! ( not quite as lovely as our SoWal but still very NICE!)

I do like SoWal better, but I enjoy the waves of the Atlantic.
Long Beach Island, Point Pleasant and Cape May are nice Jersey Beaches.
I don't care for the others.

I have heard Cape May is beautiful and historic...I would like to visit there some day!
