I report all good threads to Merman during the daily cocktail hour. The one about doing a bicycling beer run/race with RO really tickled his funny bone. He didn't think you'd win that one, RO. Not in light of the fact that the Mers are experts on bikes and beers. (1st stop: Miss Lucille's Gossip Parlor. 2nd stop: Blue Orleans, chat up the bartender while you're there 3rd stop: Grayton Beach 4th stop: Mer condo, when we drunk dial hapless friends 
). I told Merman it didn't end there, that we--the royal "we" of course--challenged River Otter to a kayak competion since they'd gotten a new kayak. He looked me like I was crazy and said something to the effect that I would challenge someone with a name like River Otter to a water competion--like why are you messing with the experts???
