Oh Kimmi it was too funny - all these people saying they're going to boycott Macy's. I hit one of the stores the last weekend it was Marshall Field's and got some gorgeous Judith Jack earrings for about a third of the original price. So it really didn't matter to me if the receipt said Macy's or Field's. People will get over it. Things change.

Federated bought May. The changovers happend on Sept. 9th. They aren't reopening the one that was there, but there a good chance they'll end up back down there.

totally. The day I put my 2 weeks in, I had 3 phone calls. One for a regional pub looking for a blender, one for a man wanting to be santa and the third was a Chicagoian freaking about Marshall Fields. It sealed the deal on my decision though!

Our Foley's is now Macy's and IBD, I don't have near that much left on my cc. have to stay away for a while with the holidays coming.
