rapunzel

Beach Fanatic
or some sort of wildlife. Anyway, this animal makes a noise that sounds like an old, rusty pogo stick. It seems to go non-stop from about 7am to 9am, then starts up again from around 4pm until dusk. It's incessant. Maybe if I knew what it was, I could learn to appreciate it instead of looking around for the ghost of some kid who died here in a tragic pogo accident c. 1979.

Why dont you try to get in touch with that group we went to the seminar last week?? She seemed to know the woodpecker call , maybe she knows this one???:idontno:

rapunzel...that is strange! I heard something in a tree that sounded like a monkey.

Its probably the newlywed couple that lives next door. Perhaps wedding gift of WD-40 would solve the problem.

Since I know the only next door neighbor of rapunzel, that would be interesting.

I think it is probably one of those rare woodpeckers that bdarg was talking about.

I wish I had a joke to insert here, but a call that distinct at night is probably Chuck Will's Widow--that is a bird....Let the ridicule begin.....

rapunzel,

Google cowbird or catbird and see if the description or tapes of either of these sound right. I remember growing up in IL there was a bird around that sounded like a squeaky gate but I don't remember the name. I'm heading out for work or I'd look it up. Now I'll wonder all day.
