I need a pep talk

New posts
During my wonderful time alone, I too had to put on a birthday party for my then 11 yr. old daughter. Had the BRIGHT idea to let them decorate cupcakes and paint.....well, cupcakes turned into a food fight with icing all over 10 little girls, as well as my yard, porch, pool and anywhere else they could get it (I dared them to go inside!!) And then it was time to paint.....:bang:

Really????
Yes, eventually.

For the first time in 15 years, I'm FINALLY doing something that wasn't for the family or exercizing or shopping or even meeting a friend for coffee, etc., but just completely for ME - a watercolor painting class. I never thought that day would ever come but it has.

So those of you with young children, this is just a temporary situation. And like BR said, it all happens so, so fast.

Hang in there and reap the rewards of a job well done!!

Pea, you my dear are a strong in charge woman. One day in the not to distant future, your kids will be telling their kids what an awesome Mom their Grana was! ;-)

Take it from me. It goes by that fast.

Wine will help!

Pea...if you need an activity for the kids tonight....the game comes on at 7:15. You could make them all cheer!!!!! Oh yeah, beer helps :clap_1:

Our Fall Fest is tomorrow too. I'll be up at school from 10 until well after midnight. I had to sell my tickets to tomorrows game because I'm running game booths and then selling pizza in the evening!!! :bang:

It's nice to get envolved, but if your school is anything like mine, its always the same 30 or so people who do everything :bang: I have to admit, that does get old, but the rewards I get out of it tend to outweigh the headaches....eventually.

Sunday will be a day of rest until 5 or so, then we are off to the game :clap_1:

Seriously, make them all watch and cheer tonight! GO CARDS!!!

You guys are great pep talkers! :clap_1:
Kitty, I've never forgotten you telling me about the 3-week trip; it's what I remind myself every time Mr. P goes out of town.
The 10:53 p.m. update is the festival went well, our work in the kitchen paid off beyond what we even anticipated; a great surprise!
The girls are very much awake at the moment, must have been because I washed everyone's hair... All the girls went to a booth at the festival where they got their hair sprayed all kinds of crazy colors and styled into crazy ponytails and such. Then they promptly arrived here and decided it was too awful to keep, so I got to play shampoo girl for 6 girls.
Anyway, it's all good.
JR, so excited for the 4th--can't wait!

:clap_1: ...Pea's Beauty Parlor! Your reward will be coming soon....November in SoWal!!!
