A long time ago, a friend of mine who owned an antique shop bought the contents of a house from an estate sale. When they got back to their store, one of the vases peaked her attention. Apparenltly after doing some research, discovered that it was from the Ming dynasty!
She sold it at Sothebys for a ridiculous amount of money.
Just goes to show you, you never know what you have laying around. ;-)
