Contrary to popular opinion, shrinking is not the issue. The skivvies pictured are inexpensive undergarments likely to contain plain elastic. Elastic hardens and stiffens in a hot dryer, which makes the thongs coarse like a hairshirt. And if a coarse shirt is a penance, what, pray tell, are coarse thongs?
BeachJacket, something tells me yours are of the elastic free variety.
