Is the communication limited to vertebrates, or can I bring along a few invertebrates for fun? Maybe we could reach a deeper understanding on the feelings of cockroaches.

:floor: :floor: 1: Too funny!

However, I do talk and occasionally sing to them. BTW, neither howl when I sing, although they should. Both seem to enjoy the attention. MY vet told me all they hear is "blah, blablah, blah". I disagree.

When I was little, there was this sheepdog down the street named Heidi and my father swore--absolutely swore--that Heidi talked to him. Which was all the more funny because my father didn't even like dogs (or so he said ;-) ).

:lolabove: I tell my nephew that I talk to the little man who lives in the lightbulb who turns on the motion lights. He has funny stories to tell.

But seriously, I do think that there are some people who can connect with animals better than others. Case in point. My neighbors 8 yr old daughter jumped on and rode a wryly horse that no one else would go near for years. She nows owns the horse and he is the apple of apple of her eye.

my aunt (who is possibly certifiable) always insisted animals could tell who was a good person and who was bad, and if her animals didn't like you she wouldn't let you in her house. who knows, maybe she's right.
